After graduating GCHS (GO JACKETS!!!!), I attended Chattanooga State Community College for two years. I transfered to MTSU and completed my Bachelor's Degree in 2006. After a few years teaching, I decided to go back to school and I graduated with my Master's degree from Tennessee Technological University.

2013- Present                     Pelham Elementary in Pelham, Tennessee

I grew up in Monteagle with my sister, Chasidy and my parents, Alvin and Pat Powell. I went to Tracy City Elementary and to Grundy County High School. After high school, I went to Chattanooga State for two years and then I transferred to Middle Tennessee State University. I graduated college with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. My first teaching job was at North Elementary teaching sixth grade. After teaching sixth grade for several years I moved down to fourth grade. In 2012, I graduated from Tennessee Technological University with my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

I have been married for two years to my husband Jacob. Jacob and I have the sweetest little baby named Lucy (a bulldog). Jacob has several beagles that he rabbit hunts with. When I am not teaching or planning awesome things for us to do I love to go shopping, watching TV and spending time with my family and friends.
